Privacy Policy
Find My Chemist (“we,” “us”) operates an informational directory of compounding pharmacies and related wellness services. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Contact & introduction requests. When you submit the contact form or ask us to connect you with a pharmacy, we collect the name, email, phone, role, and any message or health-related details you choose to provide.
- Reviews. If you post a review, we collect the content, rating, and any name or role you attach to it.
- Price submissions. When you submit a price, we collect the compound, pharmacy, price, dose, and location you enter, and — if you provide it — your email. We use your email only to follow up on your submission and, if you opt in, to notify you when the price index launches. You are not required to provide an email to submit a price.
- Pharmacy & business listings. Details submitted to list, claim, or correct a listing.
- Usage data. Standard analytics such as pages viewed and approximate location, via cookies or similar technologies.
How we use and share it
- To make introductions you request. If you ask us to connect you with a pharmacy, we share the details you provide with that pharmacy so they can respond. This is a core function of the directory — the pharmacy is a separate business with its own privacy practices.
- To operate the directory — publishing reviews you submit, maintaining listings, and improving the service.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. However, because we share the details you submit with a pharmacy that may pay us for the introduction, that sharing may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You can opt out — see “Your privacy rights” below.
- We use service providers (for example, hosting, database, and analytics vendors) who process data on our behalf.
Consumer Health Data
If you choose to include health-related details (for example, a condition, a medication, or what you are trying to get compounded), we treat that as consumer health data. What we collect: the health-related information you type into a form. How we use it: only to respond to your request and, where you ask us to connect you with a pharmacy, to make that introduction. We do not use it for targeted advertising and we do not sell it for money.
Separate authorization for introductions. When you ask us to connect you with a pharmacy, you authorize us to share the health-related details you entered with that specific pharmacy so it can respond. Because some pharmacies pay us for introductions, that sharing may be a “sale” or “sharing” of consumer health data under laws such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act and the CCPA/CPRA. This authorization is separate from your acceptance of this policy, is given only when you submit an introduction request, and you may withdraw it at any time via the Contact page. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and submissions are not protected health information under HIPAA.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to limit the use of sensitive information, and to opt out of “sale”/“sharing.” To exercise any of these — including “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” — contact us through the Contact page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Data retention & security
We retain personal information only as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. You can decline non-essential cookies through your browser.
